Agents

What your coding tools are really using.

Coding assistants are among the heaviest things on a developer disk and nothing measures them. DiskDuo finds Claude Code, Claude, Codex, Cursor, Gemini, Copilot and the rest, shows what each is using and which of it is cache, and reads their own session files for what those sessions cost in tokens.

  • Space per agent, and which of it is throwaway
  • Sessions, replies and tokens from their own logs
  • Read from your disk — no account, nothing sent

They are bigger than you think

On the Mac this was built on, coding assistants held twenty-three gigabytes: session transcripts alone were three, one of them a hundred megabytes on its own, across six hundred files. None of it shows up anywhere you would normally look.

What the sessions cost, from their own logs

Claude Code and Codex both write their token counts into their session files. DiskDuo reads them and adds them up: sessions, replies, tokens in and out, what came back from the prompt cache, and the split by day, by model and by project.

What it will not tell you, and why

There is no percentage of your plan used here. That figure belongs to the provider and cannot be had without the provider own access token, which DiskDuo does not hold and will not ask for. Everything on this screen is read from files already on your disk. Saying nothing beats showing a guess.

Questions

About agents.

Does DiskDuo read my conversations?

It reads the token counts and timestamps in the session files, and the folder each session ran in. It does not read, store or send the text of your conversations, and nothing on this screen leaves your Mac.

Is it safe to delete Claude Code or Cursor caches?

The folders marked as cache are rebuilt when the agent needs them. Session transcripts are your history and are never marked clearable. Large rebuildable things like virtual machine images are shown at full size but not called clearable, because DiskDuo cannot tell from the outside whether one is in use.
